Gaming or video games has been part of our culture especially in the tech culture back then video games were considered as a simple pass time for kids and adults didn’t take it seriously, but over the years games became more than just that simple pastime it became a part of people especially in our generation now.
Throughout the decades video games created communities, this is are people who love to play video games where they can just group together and talk about their games, People didn’t take this seriously I mean it was JUST A VIDEO GAME but as years go it becomes more, now we can see more and more gaming communities that hold their own events for a certain game that they love to share, from a simple pass time it became a culture or as I like to call it a community.
Now in Baguio city, a melting pot of millennial and young adults, will be holding a Gaming community event and this isn’t just a one time deal with a growing support of other people who loves games, this will be a monthly event but why just stop in video games? There will also be some board games and card games, now people would say “a convention of nerds and geeks” it might look like it but let’s think about it a lot of great people are nerds and geeks, their love and their passion for this kind of things made them who they are today.
So if you’re a gamer why would you come along in this event? Again “ A COMMUNITY”it’s like playing an online survival game (referring to PUBG or FORTNITE choose your poison) if you’re playing in solo its fun but it’s there is nothing more fun than playing it along with others, sharing your thoughts or ideas and you know helping out. Now if you’re a non-gamer or just a person who ‘s curious? Well, this is a good thing for you, let’s consider that most Pinoy define GAMERS as an “addict” but again that’s the traditional or stereotypical description to most Gamers (referring to baby boomers) so this is a good way to explore and understand the gaming community.
Set your dates February 3 – 4 2018 at Moes, an entrance fee of P25 but that’s it 25 pesos and you can play any games you want, but its only limited to entering and playing game food and beverages are not included so you have to buy it at your own expense but don’t worry Moes offers the tastiest foods there is so set your weekend with some causal gaming, card, board games, You can drink (for non — alcoholics and alcoholics but please no heavy drinking) and lots of foods, there will also be some tournaments for competitive gamers, but overall the best thing you can gain from attending is enjoying your weekend with fellow gamers and meeting other gamers in Baguio city so invite your friends and families ( children included) and lets build a great gaming community together.
