I always love James Cameron's quote
" Pick up a camera. Shoot something. No matter how small, no matter how cheesy, no matter whether your friends and your sister star in it. Put your name on it as director. Now you're a director. Everything after that you're just negotiating your budget and your fee.'
Just those words inspire me the most, in today's time people think that being a filmmaker you'll be needing the fanciest tools or the best equipment or the knowledge of how to edit, acting directing and etc, but I say NO, Filmmaking or being a filmmaker is not about those things its about the STORY you are a storyteller . All the great filmmakers didn't capture their legacy through the tools that they used in their films but it was through their stories Alfred Hitchcocks thrillers, Stanley Kubrick's amazing weirdly stories, Quentin Tarantino gripping characters or even Guillermo Del Torsos fantasy stories these are just some of my favorite directors who made me fell in love in filmmaking but The real inspiration for me was Star Wars by George Lucas
(from Left to right: Stanley Kubrick, Guillermo Del Toro, Alfred Hitchcock, Quinton Tarantino; Are but some of the my favorite storytellers each one has their own specialty in making their films)
Star wars for me was everything it had a cliche story a farm boy became the hero of the galaxy fighting beside with his friends overcoming evil but even though it was that cliche it made me love the whole idea of the story and it the viewers to a galaxy far far away but it wasn't just the story did you know that back then when George Lucas pitch the story nobody believed that this space opera would be possible and people won't be interested in it but he proved them wrong, guess that what made me love about filmmaking films like this stars wars, lord of the rings, Harry Potter and many more it made me feel like a kid being read a storybook imaging the story, the world, and character.

So don't worry, if you want to be a filmmaker but you don't anything you can still be a filmmaker, we are so lucky right now in our time because we have so many accesses in making a film you can use a smartphone or your webcam to make a film, you can crowd-source people to find crew and actors or if you want tap in at your local film community when it comes to editing video there are so many Content creators in YouTube that you can learn from, when it comes to budget in making a film all you need to be is just be resourceful make the story set up simple there are so many short independent films that manage to be creative in their work the best example would be SAW
(There is so many ways to start your film career; you can start it off by Guerrilla style or to a zero budget style of filmmaking we also have a new field called mobile filmmaking as you can use your cellphone as a camera if you don't have a budget for a DLSR or a 4k camera a film will always matter more in the story)
Always remember the three P's of Filmmaking
Patience, Perseverance and passion
So going back to James Cameron's Quote specifically the first line
"PICK UP A CAMERA and SHOOT SOMETHING NO MATTER how SMALL or HOW CHESSY"
